The School of Civil Engineering

The School of Civil Engineering was established in 2003, with two institutes and seven departments including geology, architectural engineering, road and bridge engineering, etc. Four laboratories cover an area of 13,000 square meters and experimental equipments total 30million. The school has 109 faculty members, among which, 17 of them are professors, 31 of them are associate professors, 45 are lecturers and 45 are teachers with doctoral degree. So far, with 40 national and provincial programs and 15 national and provincial awards, the school offers five undergraduate specialties---Exploration and Engineering of Mineral Resources, Exploration Technology and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Water Supply and Sewerage and Engineering Mechanics. The school boasts more than 2,800 undergraduates and 200 graduates. Over 7000 undergraduates, 300 graduates have graduated from the School of Civil Engineering by 2012. It has been authorized to award bachelor degrees for five undergraduate specialties, including Exploration and Engineering of Mineral Resources, and two master degrees of the first level discipline with Geological Resources and Geological Engineering, and Civil Engineering.
